Jasper Dark Sky (winter) Planetarium & Telescope Experience COMBO
Explore the world's largest astronomy park with experts from The Jasper Planetarium...

...View local 'Canadian' constellations, learn how the Northern Lights appear and take a guided tour of the heavens above Jasper Dark Sky Preserve.

This extraordinary package includes:
-------------------------------------------------
* Planetarium dome theatre experience
* astrophotography tips - how to capture auroras and the Milky Way with your camera
* relax under the stars on our dark sky viewing plateau in an authentic First Nations tepee
* refreshments: s'mores and hot chocolate
* tour of the largest telescope in the Rockies
* instant-replay of recent celestial views from our NEW video telescope
* weather-permitting LIVE views through our telescopes**

NOTE: We operate rain or shine / clear sky or cloud covered, even when snowing. We will not refund “No Shows”.

The Telescope Experience is a learning opportunity with weather permitting views of the sky. While we DO NOT need the sky to be completely clear to use our telescopes, we CAN NOT guarantee clear skies. We DO NOT provide refunds if skies are too cloudy, but in the event of cloudy nights, we offer alternative programming and a “rain check” to re-book for another date.

***Important terminology & things to know***
Planetarium vs Observatory
A Planetarium is a domed theatre that simulates the night sky by use of a projection system. In contrast, an Observatory is a building that houses one-or-more telescopes, for live viewing, under a retractable domed roof.
While we do have telescopes, and we do offer an educational Telescope Experience with the chance to look through our scopes...we are not an observatory.
Minimum age: 4
Per Person: 65.00, Child: 20.00

Jasper Dark Sky (winter) Planetarium Experience ONLY
In addition to being the world's largest most accessible dark sky preserve, Jasper is also one of the smallest towns in North America with its own planetarium.

Welcome to our virtual guided tour in our inflated domed theatre LIVE with our astronomy guides. Orbit the Earth, looking down on night time storms and the auroras. Explore local constellations, the Northern Lights, the Milky Way, and right to the edge of the universe from Jasper Dark Sky Preserve.

Includes time for a Q&A with staff.

NOTE: We operate rain or shine / clear sky or cloud covered, even when snowing. We will not refund “No Shows”.
